Angela Geddes began her journey with SPAR four years ago at SPAR Litherland as Store Manager, having spent 22 years of her career in rent-to-own retail working in her home city of Liverpool.

She says she has truly found her place in the convenience retail sector working for James Hall & Co. Ltd, and quickly excelled and improved the much-loved community store at Litherland through her business acumen and drive, the pride she has in her store, and her outstanding customer service skills.

That led to her promotion to become a dual site Store Manager taking on SPAR Winsford, where she has similarly transformed the store’s fortunes. Angela’s tireless work and meticulous eye for detail has seen a raft of double-digit percentage sales improvements at the Winsford store, including on the deli, the sandwiches range and on grocery lines.

What really sets Angela apart is her people focused approach to leadership, identifying potential in staff members, and building capability within the store’s team. Angela has created an environment where colleagues are supported, encouraged and recognized for fantastic achievements at SPAR Winsford, and now oversees two exceptional SPAR stores.

Angela’s future ambition is for further career progression to become an Area Manager.
